Research interests: We are interested in all aspects of worm biology, from the bioenergetic adaptation of glacier ice worms to the secretion of leech cocoons and production of embryonic stem cells. We also have ongoing projects exploring the evolution and adaptation of extremophilic animals (e.g., Rotifera, Tardigrada) that occupy glaciers and hot springs worldwide, including from Iceland, New Zealand, Norway and Tibet.
